Jayda Knight (Aka Flying Knight)

Knight is a Deco Symbolist artist based in Miami. Raised in Switzerland, she holds a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts and a Bachelor’s of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design. Jayda has pursued her artistic career across New York, London, and Istanbul before settling in Miami in 2014.

Jayda’s professional experience includes roles as a Gallery Associate at Oolite Arts and the Williams McCall Fine Arts Gallery in Miami. In 2020, she founded and ran Peekaboo Artists’ Studios and Gallery on Lincoln Road, managing 12 artist studios and organizing bi-monthly exhibits in collaboration with local city events.

Jayda’s artistic practice pushes boundaries, significantly contributing to Miami’s cultural landscape. She has collaborated with institutions like the Miami City Ballet, Oolite Arts, Lincoln Road Improvement District, and Timeout-Miami. Her accolades include grants from the Gottlieb Foundation-NY, Artists’ Fellowship-NY, and the Miami-Dade Department of Cultural Affairs.

Cherese A. Crockett

Crockett is an arts professional, organizer, and consultant from Ohio with over 20 years of experience supporting artists’ careers. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Art History from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY

Post-graduation, Cherese worked at Sotheby’s and the Whitney Museum of American Art, and directed the renowned PPOW Gallery in New York City.
In 2012, Cherese joined Oolite Arts, where she currently works in Development, continuing her dedicated support for the arts community.
